JOB DESCRIPTION

• Inventory management and control of the timber yard in Olsztynek.

• Communication with drivers delivering timber and coordination of their work.

• Loading of roundwood using a timber crane (Liebherr).

• Log measurement and roundwood classification according to Polish (PL) norms and standards.

• Identification of wood species, assortments, and defects.

• Ensuring compliance with FSC requirements and internal quality standards.

• Daily communication with colleagues, contractors, and supervisors.

• Preparing and managing basic operational data using Microsoft Excel.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

• Good knowledge of roundwood classification (species, assortments, defects).

• Experience in forest-related work (e.g. junior forester, forest technician, forest machine operator).

• Strong communication skills.

• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.

YOU WILL STAND OUT IF YOU HAVE THESE COMPETENCIES

• Technical or higher education in Forestry or Wood Technology.

• Valid Timber Crane / Liebherr certification.

• Truck driving licence (category C is an advantage).

• Official training in timber sorting according to Polish norms (PN standards).

• Completed FSC training or practical experience working in FSC-certified environments.

• Communicative English (working environment with international stakeholders).
